Moresque Foray
moresque foray 1987

Moresque Foray was a collective of six people from west germany, producing different styles of electronic based music between 1984–1991. There's been three official releases on vinyl and a compilation of unreleased tunes available on tape, distributed by the german independent label "Turn About Music". Since most of Moresque Foray's and their side projects music (Mental Contradict, Crystalic Decay & Krankenhouse) probably will remain unreleased, we've decided to go thru' the archives and converted all the lost & forgotten tracks for introducing them finally to the internet.

The Equipment
kjorg moresque foray 909

Of course we didn't own all the listed gear in the early days of Moresque Foray. We've started with just a Roland TB-303, mostly because at that time it was the most affordable electronic instrument available on the local 2nd hand market. One year later a 2nd hand TR-808 got added. The other mentioned gear came in step by step over the following years.

  • Roland TR-808 / TR-909 / SH-101 / MC-202 / TB-303
  • Korg Monopoly / SDD-1000 / SDD-2000 / DRV-1000
  • Moog Rogue
  • Casio CZ-101
  • Ensoniq ESQ-1 / EPS
  • 12 Channel Mixer
  • Tascam 38 – 8 Track Recorder
